Determining Your Differentiators

by D.C.Atty

Are you wearing the same differentiators as your competition?

If your differentiator is service…get a new differentiator. You may have the absolute best customer service on the planet but…everyone says they have great customer service yet only a small percentage actually deliver.

Using “service” as your differentiator is like Pepsi saying their differentiator is pop…it’s a dime a dozen.

Who Is Your Target Audience And What Keeps Them Up At Night?

by ford buchanan

Holy Schmoly…please don’t say “everyone” or anyone with a body or anyone with a house, or anyone with hair, or anyone who eats…etc.

The riches are in the niches. Think about it…if your target is “everyone” then how can you ever expect to lead with a clear message that makes people say “pick me!!!” It doesn’t happen. Your message will be muddy and it will take people longer to realize that you’re talking to them.

The tighter the niche, the more likely you are to know what keeps your target audience up at night. The more you understand what keeps them up at night, the more you understand how your products cure their pain.

It’s only when you truly know what pains your audience and how you cure the pain, that you can create concise messages with strong calls to action that compel someone to say “I WANT IT!”

Before you spend too much time using social media to build your business, know your target audience. Who out there has more thoughts on this? Add your sweet ideas below.

Appreciate Every Connection And Send ‘em Love

by martino!

Appreciate every fan.

When I speak to groups the first question I hear is “How do I get more people to follow me?” One of the best ways to get more fans isn’t to force yourself on them. Treat your existing fans well – give them what they want and need.

Building a strong fan base isn’t about YOU it’s about THEM. Send ‘em some love. Give them reasons to feel good about you. This creates a UBT (Unique Buying Tribe). People so dedicated to what you provide they will gladly tell everyone they know about you. THAT will result in building a larger and stronger fan base.

Do you agree?

Let me know ~ add your brilliance below.

A Family Quest

How far would you go to save a child?

By nina matthews photography

Do all parents of challenged children want to run from the truth?

When they’re born you expect them to grow up and be happy, contributing members of society. You never expect them to be incapable of formulating a sentence at seven or to be suicidal at nine.

Marlin Keesler wanted to believe what others were telling him - not to be worried…it was a phase. He wasn’t willing to see the red flags. He also wasn’t willing to admit to himself that yelling louder would not help his son learn to spell.

When his children were small Marlin worked an exhausting night shift for the airlines. Gone before the kids got home from school and back home long after they were asleep. Needless to say he wasn’t present in their lives. The combination of his children’s challenges and his inability to be present in their lives was causing his family to fall apart.

Every second of every day parents make choices that affect their entire family. The choice today is about being present. Physically and emotionally present for yourself and the ones you love. Are you?

How far would you go if your child was in trouble and your family was falling apart? Say…26.2 miles? Would you run a grueling, pain inducing marathon? How about two? What about fifty? Would you set out on a quest to save your children by running 50 marathons in 50 states? Marlin did and he didn’t even like to run. Read more…

Are You Creating a Michelangelo?

by Joelshine V2.3d

Social media thought for the day… Ask yourself these questions BEFORE you dive in.

Why should you jump on the social media bandwagon?

Is your audience actually there? If they are playing in the social media arena, which one are they playing in? (there are over 57,000 places to play – where is your audience?)

Do you want to build stronger relationships with customers and prospects or do you just want to build a twitter following the size of Lady GaGa’s?

Is your approach authentic to you? Tell us how you do it in the space below?

Have a strategy. Without one it’s like throwing paint at the ceiling and expecting a Michelangelo.
